It's summer again, which means I'm happily filling my weekends with weddings. This one is from June 11th in Fergus Falls, MN. Angie and Cameron got married First Lutheran Church on one of our rare sunny, warm days. I don't really know what to say about their wedding, because I love all of it from the flowers (she added feathers!) to the dress and jewelry (she wore her grandma's pearls) to the bridesmaid dresses and the guys shoes. As always, I wish we would have had a little more time for pictures because the church had great architectural detail that I would have loved to take advantage of, but there was a little delay when the flowers were delivered to the wrong church! Everything worked out in the end, as you can see from these wonderful pics.

Karla and Mitch are married! A little bit of rain, a little bit of wind, and a lot of love. I had a great time with Karla, Mitch and their whole wedding party during this Fargo wedding. I really love the bubble fairies; what a great way to get the younger family members involved!

The car wouldn't start, so the groomsmen gave it a little push start!

Exactly one month before their wedding, I got together with Karla and Mitch on a beautiful, beautiful Thursday evening to take their engagement pictures. I couldn't have asked for a better evening and a better couple. I'm very much looking forward to their May wedding!

I hope it's finally safe to say that spring is here! Most of the snow is gone and a few of my plants are starting to show signs of life. But my favorite part of spring is getting outside again for sessions! That's just what I did this weekend with Jesica and Matthew. We started with a few pics in studio, but what I'm excited to share are the outdoor ones, as always. Love the sign the brought along and am looking forward to their (big!) fall wedding!

Like most photographers, this time of year is dedicated to tying up loose ends from last year and prepping for the upcoming graduation and wedding season, so I was excited for the change of pace this weekend when I got to spend some time in my studio. I started off the morning with these two beautiful girls and their parents and finished up with another family of four. For now, here are a few from my first session. White Winter

So, a few days ago I posted on Facebook that it was going to be a wonderful day to take outdoor pictures...I was wrong! The temp was great, but the wind was COLD. Luckily, I had a brave senior who really wanted to take some snow pictures. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them and can't thank her enough for being such a good sport. So remember families and seniors, winter outdoor pictures are an option!

Welcome to 2011!

This is going to be an exciting year at J Kuhn Photography. Our dates are booking up fast for weddings and we're already having high school seniors talk to us about their session! There are going to be a few changes we are excited about, also. Mainly, more location work. After reviewing the last 3 years, both by what customers have told us & showed us (with their orders) and by exploring what I as the photographer really get excited about, we have decided to get out of the studio. If you have question or concerns about location photography, just let us know and we can discuss the positives and negatives. Or, if you would rather hear it from one of our past clients, let us know and we'll find someone you can talk honestly with.

Enough of what's to come! We have been busy getting ready for some upcoming wedding shows and just can't help but share some great shots from last year. Don't worry, there will be more to come!
